Happy Ending Update for Kato (Formerly Zamboni, Adopted 12/2015)

Update Received January 2016: Kato is doing really great! Potty and crate training is going really well and he's a great listener.  While he knows 'sit', we're still working on 'stay'. He really likes company and loves to snuggle.

Happy Ending Update for Teddy (Formerly Zorro, Adopted 12/2015)

Update Received January 2016: Things are going great with Teddy! He has really become a part of the family. He has taken a liking to our older dog Joey. Joey has really come around since the first couple days. They love to play in the snow together and they eat their pig ears right next to each other!

Happy Ending Update for Paisley (Adopted 9/2015)

Update Received January 2016: When Paisley was adopted she had no interest and had no idea as to how to play fetch.    It took a few weeks of throwing a ball outside before Paisley would even pay attention to what I was doing with her.  Today is a different story!  Now, all I have to do is say "find your Kong or find the Ball" and we are off on an exercise of playing fetch for about 10-20 minutes in the house on these cold days!  It is interesting how a little bit of peanut butter turned her interest around.  Now, daily she brings me her Kong or ball and drops it at my feet letting me know it is time to play & I love it!  Thank you again.

Happy Ending Update for Yukon (Formerly Maserati, Adopted 10/2015)

Update Received January 2016: I just wanted to send you a few pictures of Yukon (formerly Maserati) so you can see what a handsome guy he's growing up to be! He's doing awesome and is such a great puppy. Plenty of personality, but really mellow and keeps his head about things. We all love him so much! At his vet visit this week (4 1/2 months) he's 40 lbs. Thanks again for what you did for him and all the pups you help.

Happy Ending Update for Kyra (Formerly Cinnamon, Adopted 12/2014)

Update Received January 2016: Hello, my name is Kyra (formerly Cinnamon). This past year has been great! I have wonderful family who love to take care of me and play with me. My neighbor Noxxi and I love to play outside together! But most of all I love trips up to the cabin. We go fishing, play with other dogs, go for walks and play fetch out on the sand point where I learned to swim! I am pretty sure next summer I am ready to drive the boat.  When I am relaxing I love to watch TV and cuddle with my mom and dad!  Thanks for helping me find my forever home I’m a very lucky doggie!!

Happy Ending Update for Darwin (Formerly Zeke, Adopted 12/2015)

Update Received January 2016: Everything is going very well with Zeke! We renamed him Darwin. He is fitting in very well with the family and older brother, Turbo. Turbo has been helpful in training him. He sleeps through the night without problems. Darwin is a very sweet, smart boy. He often looks like he is just calmly taking everything in. He already knows how to "sit" just from observing Turbo. Darwin tends to go with the flow. If the family is doing something quiet, he tends to be a quiet little snuggler. He also loves to play. He has done well with the holidays and family excursions. Over Christmas he took his first long car trip up to Brainerd for a few days.

Happy Ending Update for Bridget (Adopted 1/2013)

Update received January 2016: Today - January 13, 2016 - is Bridget's three year adoptiversary!  She is, as always, the light of my life.  She's now a senior lady with arthritis and occasional Lyme disease flare-ups, but she's still a happy girl with plenty of energy.  Although our walks may be a bit slower and shorter (and her list of medications longer!) she eagerly patrols the neighborhood with me twice a day and greatly enjoys "walkies" as well as visits to doggy daycare.  Around home, she loves to accompany me in the back yard while I garden or just snooze on the couch when we're indoors.  As always, all my thanks to everyone at All Dog Rescue for all you do but most especially for making it possible for me to share my life with my cherished Bridget!

Happy Ending Update for Lexi (formerly Lexus, adopted 11/2015)

Update received 12/2015: Lexi is doing well -keeping us on our toes - but she's awesome and already spoiled!!  She growing into a young lady - 34#s - big girl!!!  😀❤️

Happy Ending Update for Elk (formerly Brenna, adopted 9/2015)

Update Received 12/2015: Thought I'd send an update on Elk, who I adopted as Brenna (Bree) in September. She has been doing very well. She seems like she has really settled in at this point. We weren't sure how she would be with the cat at first, but she does quite an excellent job of being respectful of the cat's space.

We've been going to K9Coach's level one obedience class for the past few weeks and I am thinking we might try their agility class this next summer. We've been working on getting her used to having guests over and so long as she doesn't get nervous she doesn't feel the need to herd and nip at guests around the house. She is also learning to walk on a loose leash and has just gotten the hang of sitting down on walks anytime I stop walking and only needs a few reminders to walk next to me instead of trying to be way in front. In the summer and fall she would run along with my bike in the mornings, (I bought one of the bike leashes that mounts to your seat post so they can't pull you over) but now that it's gotten cold we just do a walk and then games and training in the house before I head to work. After we get some decent snow this winter I plan on getting her a harness and giving Skijoring a try.

Happy Ending Update for Gertrude (Formerly Roxy, adopted 12/2010)

Update received 12/2015: Today marks the 6 year Adoptaversary of Gertrude (aka Roxy) from All Dog Rescue!

I wanted to send a quick note thanking you for all the hard work you do each day. Gert has brought so much joy to my life and is a constant reminder to enjoy the day and live in the present.

She is doing well and is a Therapy Dog for Therapy Dog International. She just finished volunteering at the library for the Paws to Read program where she has volunteered for 1.5 years and is now volunteering at a local nursing home each week.

I have attached a picture of her and just wanted to say thank you again.

Happy Ending Update for Piper (Formerly Winter, Adopted 12/2015)

Update received 12/2015: Here are a couple of new photos of Winter - we have renamed her Piper, as everyone loves her and follows her around to play/hold her - she is like a Pied Piper.  She goes where ever she wants to rest or sleep and that is fine with us.  As you know, she is a GREAT dog!  We are so thrilled to have her and feel very fortunate to have her.  Thank you!

Happy Ending Update for Atlas (Formerly Dubnyk, Adopted 6/2015)

Update Received November 2015: I thought I would give you an update on Atlas and send some pictures. He is doing really well and we all absolutely adore him. He is a very smart boy and has already learned quite a few tricks that he likes to show off for treats. He is the sweetest boy and adores everyone be it people or other animals and everyone who meets him loves him in return. He got dressed up as a pumpkin for Halloween, which he wasn't the biggest fan of, but he tolerated it. He recently turned 7 months and he is weighing in at about 70+ pounds.

Happy Ending Update for Bella (Formerly Goldie, Adopted 9/2014)

Update Received Novemer 2015:   We had lost our beloved dog Daisy July of 2014. I knew we were eventually going to get another. We were thinking of the following spring or summer.  We happened to be out shopping for a birthday card when we came upon the adoption day at Petco in Eden Prairie. My husband said "You don't want to look at those dogs over there, do you?" Well that was the beginning. I saw Bella she was so cute just sitting there with her foster mother. It was love at first sight. Then I remember my cats. Thank God she said that Bella did like cats. Then she told me that Bella did have lyme disease. Well I was already in love with her. And I researched lyme disease and it’s not a death sentence. It’s actually not that big of I deal. Like a cold sometimes you have symptom sometimes you don't. They treat with antibiotics.

Well, we have had her a little over a year now. She is so sweet. She loves her sisters, the cats Poozie and Princess. She actually licks them really gently. Loves people and other dogs. She goes to the dog park every weekend and gets two walks a day. We are so happy with our Bella.
